Batik Day

Batik Day @Birmingham

Batik Day @Birmingham

As I told u before, having new life at Birmingham is not as hard as my nightmare imagination. Of course there is always a jet lag, but it is only for one day or two.  You will have many friends here (Indonesians !!!), where you can ask many things about everything. Finding a house or a room to share, getting halal food (chicken, meat, etc you name it).

PPI-MIB is a place where indonesian community in Birmingham gather meet and eat. PPI-MIB stands for Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia dan Masyarakat Indonesia di Birmingham. Not like any PPI throughout the world that only covers students, PPI @Birmingham also accommodate Indonesians that are not student anymore. There are many many Indonesia people who get married to locals and live in this city. And they are a very good source of information about living in Birmingham.

At last, to commemorate Batik Day at October 2nd, we (some of students at UoB) would like to share our happiness by wearing our Batik and this is our picture near Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower University of Birmingham.

p.s : PhD life is not only about studying, isn’t it ?
